OUR OFFICE DOGS

The visitors who pop into our real estate office are often welcomed by friendly yelps, tail wagging and, if they decide to come forward and say hello, a lick on the hand. If you haven’t guessed already, I am referring to a pair of our gentle office dogs, Polka and 2-2.

MEET OUR DOGGOS

Polka and 2-2 love spending their time in the office. Each dog has her special sleeping place, either under the desks, besides the desks or, if they are feeling especially brave, the couch in the entrance lobby. They are loved by their owners, other workers, and everyone who walks into the RE/MAX office.

2-2 is a Doberman with a beautiful shiny coat and a bit of a shy demeanour,  however she will become your best friend two minutes after the first hello. She will then proceed to guide your hand on top of her head for a requested pat and scratch. 2-2 belongs to Heather and is named after Heather’s lucky numbers. While large, imposing and muscular, 2-2 is very gentle and, like many dogs here, only has beefs with the passing motorbikes.

Polka is smaller than 2-2 and is a mixed breed. She was found by Ben all alone in the dark jungle as an abandoned young pup. A quick visit to the vet was needed as she was in a very rough shape and would not have made it another day. She has now grown to be Ben’s best friend and is the most relaxed and friendly dog you will ever meet.

A DOG’S LIFE

Our dogs are especially lucky: in another life, they would have been left home alone for most of the day, alone for the entire time the sun is up. In the office, while they do sleep and lounge around a lot, there is much more to see and do – workers, guests, or the gardener provide entertainment when requested, and a quick romp in the office garden is always on the cards. Sometimes they may go for a car ride to run an errand – for example, to check if a lot has been cleared out or a quick spin to Uvita to pick up a package. Lunchtime and office parties are especially sought after as there is a high probability a scrap of pizza or fried chicken may, intentionally or accidently, find their way into the waiting mouths of Polka and 2-2.

SAY HELLO!

When you next visit our office (or drop in for the first time) make sure you say hello to our beautiful office dogs, Polka and 2-2. They brighten up our day and hopefully, can do the same for you!
